1 . Grawen Caravan & Camping Park

Details: South of Pen Y Fan near the Llwyn-on Reservoir there’s a stone farmhouse that doubles up as a campsite. The views from the camp are sublime as it’s set deep inside the National Park. Plenty of grass pitches are available for both tents and campervans. Both campfires and pets are allowed.
2 . Pwllyn Farm Camping

Cost: £22 per pitch.
Details: A small campsite that is a mere stone’s throw from Pen y Fan. A no-nonsense site that offers simple and clean facilities with excellent access to the mountains. Most pitches are basic grass lots with no electricity available. Peaceful and tranquil location. A fantastic option for camping near Pen y Fan.
3 . Llwynstyffilin Campsite

Cost: £7 per person.
Details: Small working farmhouse with rolling green fields for campers. One of the closer sites for camping near Pen Y Fan. Family-run campsite aimed at giving hikers, campers, and hillwalkers a relaxing stay on a truly natural property.
4 . Brecon Beacons Wild Camping

Cost: £7.50 per person. £50 for a Belle Tent (fits 4 people).
Details: Elevated campsite with such a remote feel that the owners say it is just like wild camping! Perfect for stargazing and campfires. Porta-loos are available on site. Another no-frills campsite that highlights natural beauty and being in the wilderness rather than top-range facilities. This is one of the best sites for camping near Pen y Fan as it is suitably wild and conveniently located. A more luxury Belle Tent hire is also available!
5 . Rhydywernen Farm
Address: A470, Brecon LD3 8EH, United Kingdom
Cost: £19 for a non-electric grass pitch. £22 for an electric touring pitch.
Details: Rhydywernen Farm is another picturesque campsite that sits on the banks of Afon Tarell. The campsite is a structured farmhouse which means there are plenty of animals on site! Good, clean facilities with a lovely grass camping area. It’s possible to wild swim in the river nearby too!
6 . Cefn Cantref Campsite
Address: Cefn Cantref, Cantref, Brecon LD3 8LT, United Kingdom
Cost: £14-17 per person (depending on the season).
Details: A friendly campsite with a focus on stargazing and countryside walks. The campsite is set outside of Brecon town and makes the most of its rural setting. A good selection of facilities with multiple camping options available. Dogs are welcome. No large motorhomes or permanent campervans.
7 . YHA Brecon Beacons

Cost: £18 for a dorm bed, cabins from £59.
Details: From the YHA you can actually see the top of Pen y Fan! This is one of the closest accommodation options near to the peak. However, this is less of a campsite and more of a bunkhouse. It still offers camping near Pen y Fan, but these are in cabins/pods. Good kitchen and lounge area. A convivial atmosphere that’s great for groups and meeting other hillwalkers.
8 . Pencelli Castle Caravan & Camping Park
Address: Pencelli Castle Farm, Pencelli, Brecon LD3 7LX, United Kingdom
Cost: £12-14 for a tent (price depends on the season). £24-28 for two people in a campervan.
Details: Pencelli Castle is one of the top campsites in Wales and has won numerous awards. It isn’t particularly close to Pen y Fan, but it is still located in the beautiful Brecon Beacons. There are lots of facilities, picnic tables at each pitch, hard sites, and plenty of space available. No dogs are permitted. Nearby pub “Royal Oak” is highly recommended.
9 . Aberbran Fawr Campsite
Address: Aberbran Fawr, Aberbran, Brecon LD3 9NG, United Kingdom
Cost: £10 per night for campers with a £4.50 surcharge for electric hook-up.
Details: Family-friendly campsite perched beside the River Usk bridge crossing. Two main camping areas: Riverbank or Meadow. Clean toilet and shower facilities with the added option of river swimming. Dogs are welcome and there is also free fruit-picking on-site!
10 . Brecon Beacons Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite

Cost: Yearly membership is necessary.
Details: A caravan club situated at the busy Brynich roundabout. This isn’t the nearest choice for camping near Pen y Fan, but it is a good campsite for those with a big rig or anyone involved in the caravan community. A rather busy campsite with small-ish pitches. Plenty of electric hook-ups and excellent facilities.
